Effective for middle school choir and first time singers in high school choir
♫ Save your voice and save your time! NO PREP. Print and teach it with a worksheet.
♪ This chorus worksheet will hopefully help your students realize why "Only the Brave Sing!"
...One of my top three MOST MEANINGFUL LESSONS.
Chorus is a performance class. SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Hopefully, choral directors will recognize the value in this worksheet.
♪ Even more so than band and orchestra, chorus students are not anonymous when they stand on the risers to sing. They are not hiding behind a stand. Everyone in the audience can see their face and what they are doing with their body.
♪ Chorus is a team sport and requires 100% of each team player. All singers need to respect and revere their coach, the choral director.
♪ In no other subject do students stand together to perform, often competing for a rating, trophy or prize.
♪ It is this performance aspect of chorus that makes our ensembles so special.
♪ Hopefully your students will take their behavior and effort more seriously after completing this worksheet.
