This is a 3 day lesson for the film "Chosin" by Brian Iglesias. It is a great documentary with interviews from several Marines who fought at the Chosin Reservoir during The Korean War. It has a couple introduction questions. The main part asks students to describe events as the film progresses. There also several review and discussion questions for the students to do by themselves and as a class. "Chosin" is available on Amazon video and can be bought on DVD on Amazon as well. The film has some profanity and graphic scenes. After the film I have students research one of the 17 Medal of Honor recipients from the Battle of Chosin. They then discuss with a partner and as a class. As a culminating activity we compare the veterans accounts from the film and from the Medal of Honor winners.
