These Christmas centers include 25 literacy and math centers, along with no prep practice pages. The centers were made just for Kindergarten to help you bring Christmas into your classroom! The literacy and math skills included are on target with the needs of Kindergarteners during December.

The themes included in this packet are all things Christmas, Santa and Mrs. Claus, reindeer, elves, Christmas trees, ornaments, stockings, presents, Christmas cookies, and more.

25 Christmas-themed center activities (13 math and 12 literacy centers). All activities are common core aligned with standards included.

All math and literacy center activities include:

-a table of contents

-recording sheets to hold students accountable for their work

-kid-friendly "I Can" charts with visual directions to promote independence

-an answer key for easy checking

-follow-up print-and-go activities/worksheets to reinforce the skills covered in this packet.

Here is a list of the activities included:

Christmas Literacy Centers-

Santa Sounds: Students will determine whether the two given pictures have the same beginning sound (RF.K.3a)

Waiting for Santa: Students will look at a series of three pictures and determine which two have the same ending sound. (RF.K.3a)

Elf Endings: Students will identify the ending sound of the picture and dab the letter to show their answer. (RF.K.3a)

Reindeer Games: Students will record the lowercase letter and the two letters that come after. (L.K.1a, RF.K.1d)

Colorful Trees: Students will select an uppercase letter card, and record the matching lowercase letter using the same color as the Christmas tree. (2 ways to use) (RF.K.1d, L.K.1a)

Rockin' Reindeer Rhymes: Students will identify the picture that rhymes with the picture on the card. (RF.K.2a)

Wrappin Up Rhymes: Students will look at a series of three pictures and determine which two are a rhyming match. (RF.K.2a)

Cooking Up Sight Words: Students will use cookies to spell the sight word on the cookie sheet. Includes black pieces for you to add your own sight words. (RF.K.3d, L.K.1a)

Stocking Stuffers: Students will spell the CVC words and record them on their paper. 2 letter tile options are included for students who need additional support. (L.K.1a, RF.K.3a, RF.K.2d)

Santa Stamps: Students will determine the missing vowel in a CVC word. (RF.K.3b)

Let There Be Lights Students will use bingo dabbers to dab the number of syllables in a word/picture. (RF.K.2b)

Write the Room: Students will find the matching vocabulary picture card. They will write the vocabulary word on their paper next to the picture. (L.K.1a, RF.K.1b)

Christmas Math Centers:

Ornaments in Order: Students will put a series of three numbers in order. 2 levels included (K.CC.A.2)

Christmas Counting: Students will count a group of objects and record the number. 2 levels included (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

Which is Less?: Students will compare two numbers (within 10) to determine which number is less. They will dab their answer. (K.CC.C.7)

Count and Compare: Students will count three sets of objects and record how many. They will compare the numbers to determine which number is greater. (K.CC.C.6)

Christmas Graphing: Students will use a picture mat to fill in a graph and answer basic questions about the graph. (K.CC.B4, K.CC.B.5, K.MD.A.2, K.MD.B.3)

Cooking Up Addition: Students will solve addition sentences within 5. Includes two different work mats, number line, and themed counters. (K.OA.A.2)

Santa Stockings: Students will count the different color stockings to create an addition sentence equal to ten. (K.OA.A.4)

A Carol of Numbers: Students will put number cards in order. 2 options - to 10 or 20. Includes several cut and paste printables to help practice this skill. (K.CC.A.1)

Colorful Ornaments: Students will count by ten to determine the missing number. (Optional number line included for additional support). (K.CC.A.1, K.CC.A.2)

Reindeer Shapes: Students will select a reindeer shape card, find the matching shape on their paper, and color the shape the same color as the card. (K.G.A.2)

The Faces of Ten Frames: Students will count the ten frame and record the number. They will count on to fill in the next two missing numbers (K.CC.A.2)

Bright, Shiny Ornaments: Students will count the number on the ten frame (up to 20) and record their answers. (K.NBT.A.1, K.CC.A.1)

Play Dough Mats: A fun, themed center to practice number formation and writing. Includes optional recording sheet for accountability. (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4)
