Christmas Addition Math Center Freebie

Description
Do you need a fun way to practice addition this holiday season? Students will find different combinations of a given number by using sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies in this winter math station. For added excitement, use laminated cookies, a real cookie sheet, and a spatula. Or, allow each student to glue paper copies of the cookies onto paper plates (which can be used as a bulletin board!).
For example, the number 10 can be made by placing 5 chocolate chip and 5 sugar cookies on a tray. A different combination of 10 cookies could include 8 chocolate chip and 2 sugar. Students will work to find multiple combinations for each number. Easily differentiate the center by choosing numbers that work best for your students.
This holiday freebie includes:
Teacher Direction Page (with extension activities)
Student Direction Page (for math centers)
Tray (or use real cookie sheets for added fun)
Cookies (color and blackline)
Recording Sheet
