Holiday Themed Molecule Ornament Advent Calendar chemistry CHEMIST-TREE
This is an amazing holiday resource for ANY science classroom.
What says “It’s the holidays!” like sugar, snow, peppermint, and joy? How about sucrose, frozen H2O, menthol and serotonin?! ❄️ Download all 24 holiday-themed molecule ornaments and build your very own CHEMIST-TREE advent calendar and count down to winter break in a super unique, engaging, and interesting way!
**I have now updated this to include a smaller version for individual student use as well as the original large classroom decor version.
Simply cut a large pine tree out of green butcher paper to hang in your classroom.
Starting December 1st, have a student cut out an ornament and choose a holiday-themed molecule and its name to glue/ tape into the ornament each day. (you will have to double up for weekends and account for when break begins)
Have the students hang the ornaments on the tree each day.
YOU ARE BUILDING YOUR VERY OWN CHEMIST-TREE FOR THE HOLIDAYS! This is a wonderful way to countdown to break in a scientific, fun, and engaging way!
