This is a fun activity pack to use with your elementary students to teach about the different Christmas traditions around the world. I recommend this for 2nd and 3rd grade students.
What is included:
1 information sheet about traditions in 8 different countries (Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, taly, Australia, Iceland, England and Mexico). There is a sheet in color and a sheet in b/w.
One page of comprehension questions to go along with each country.
24 reading comprehension cards to go along with the passages. These would be good to use as a center activity or whole group. There is a game board to use with the questions as well as a recording sheet and answer key. This could be used as a Scoot game or center activity.
One graphic organizer for each country. Students are asked to write/draw about something related to the different Christmas traditions.
Scrapbook or minibook for students to write and color about what they learned and their own Christmas traditions. This has the same questions as the graphic organizers, just in a different format.
Worksheets and writing (Venn diagram, alphabetical order, writing prompts, word search, label the country)
