Christmas time can be crazy in the classroom and it can be hard to keep students engaged. This year, I used a social studies research project during the last week before break and my students loved it! I had them complete 4-6 of these circles using research websites I found. They just had to fill them with facts and decorate them to match the country and how they celebrate Christmas. Then, we folded the circles in half and glued them together to create a spherical ornament. I hole-punched the top and gave them a piece of yarn and that was it! Very easy and the kids really enjoyed learning all kinds of new information!
*For younger grades, you could find videos or just teach about different countries and fill out the ornament together instead of researching independently*
