At least two weeks before Christmas Break, I take 10-15 Christmas books, wrap them, and label them Day __. Students unwrap one read aloud each day leading up to the break. They get so excited unwrapping the gifts and seeing what book is underneath! With this resource you have everything you need (except the wrapping paper and books) to start a Christmas book countdown in your classroom!
This is a GROWING BUNDLE! I am in the process of adding new books and resources every day! It will be complete when I have 20 books and activities to match!
Included you will find
-Countdown book labels
Activities to go along with the following books
-The Three Snow Bears
-How the Grinch Stole Christmas
-How to Catch Santa
-Snowmen at Night or Snowmen at Christmas
-The Polar Express
-How Santa Got His Job
-The Night Before Christmas
-The Gingerbread Man (or any gingerbread book)
-The Snowy Day
-The Wild Christmas Reindeer
-The Legend of the Candy Cane
Most activities are writing samples right now, but there are also comprehension printables to assess sequencing and problem/solution.
