Practice parts of speech by playing bingo using the titles of popular Christmas songs. Students create their own bingo cards either by writing or by cutting out and attaching 24 word choices onto a blank card. During the game, a Christmas carol title with a missing word is read aloud. Give a hint about about the answer by telling whether the missing word is a noun, verb, or adjective. Just for fun, you can also hum the song's tune. Students cover the answer if it is on their card. 22 of the song titles are secular and 8 are religious. Great for the whole class or small groups in December, especially on party day!
