**Note: The group pictures have 1 page with picture s that represent the group and 1 page without a picture representing the group (i.e. pages 10-11). The latter is a more advanced skill.
Expressive and Receptive Language/Vocabulary Development
Labeling (some pictures are already labeled)
Categories/Groups – sorting into broad and narrow categories
After the students are proficient in sorting, show them 3-4 pictures from the same category and have them label the Category name
Show the students the category to see if they can name several items within the category
Once the students have sorted into the narrow categories, have them put those into the broad categories (i.e. The Christmas trees with Water, Zoo, and Farm animals will go in the Animals house)
