Using a "Character Grid"...similar to a Coordinate Grid...students will determine where each Christmas character fits on the grid. Then, there is a sheet where students write down the actual coordinates of each character. Here is the catch...students then must provide evidence to why each character displays the traits chosen "adventurous or cautious...joyous or unpleasant". This is a fun way for kids to learn...without knowing that they are even learning! You could even add "snipets" of the shows for each character to help the students out!! So many possibilities!! I actually learned this idea from Ian Byrd...so I personally credit him with the idea!
Great for gifted learners too!!
