'Tis the season for....comics! I hope you find this to be a fun, alternative writing assignment for your students this holiday season. In this Christmas Comic Strip Writing product, you will find differentiated comic strip writing pages for varying levels and interests of your students. Included are:
•4 different comic strip pages WITH pictures and blank speech bubbles. Students write their own short stories in the speech bubbles and they can color in the pictures too!
•4 comic strip pages with blank speech bubbles, but WITHOUT pictures (students draw their own illustrations).
•4 blank comic strip templates—WITHOUT pictures or speech bubbles (students draw their own illustrations and speech bubbles). Students have the most freedom with this option.
The themed stories/templates include:
1) A Christmas Song Comic Strip Story
2) A Christmas Tree Comic Strip Story
3) A Snowman Comic Strip Story—(with two different layouts for those pages without the pre-filled illustrations)
4) An Elf Comic Strip Story
This activity is great as an individual creative writing assignment, a cooperative or shared writing activity, as a literacy center idea, an early-finisher activity, a homework assignment over Christmas break, an assignment to leave with your substitute teacher, or anything else you can think of!
Merry Christmas and I hope your students have fun creating their own comic strips!
