This Poinsettia craft doubles as a gift that is easy to make, but looks great when it is complete. It only requires simple, common supplies. Students use washable markers to outline flowers, leaves and basket. Next they 'paint' with a very TINY amount of water over top of the marker. This dissolves the marker and fills in the white spaces. Let it dry and cut around everything. Assemble the basket and add in flowers and leaves. See below for a list of supplies that will be needed.
This Printable Basket of Flowers require the following supplies:
-2 sheets of card stock
-washable/water soluble markers
-pipe cleaners (in the photo 5 were used and cut to various lengths)
-liquid glue to glue basket together (glue stick works ok)
-tape or liquid glue to adhere the pipe cleaners to the flowers (I like tape)
-oasis or a small chunk of styrofoam to glue inside the basket to stick the pipe cleaner
flowers into. In a pinch you could have students tape the pipe cleaner flowers to the bottom of the basket. I’ve had to do this and it worked fine, but oasis is better as the flowers and leaves can be rearranged until students are happy.
-stapler to attach handler (more secure than glue)
