This Christmas dance activity will help you teach the elements of dance
This is a packet of two roll-a-dance activities with a Christmas theme. The first has fairly simple prompts (for grades 1 & 2) and the second has more interesting but potentially difficult prompts for slightly older students (grades 3 & 4). These Christmas dance activities are designed to help your students create dance phrases as per the “Creating and Presenting” expectations in the Ontario Dance Curriculum. For grades 1 & 2, these activities focus on body and space. They are perfect for using after you have introduced each concept and want to provide a chance for students to practice. Due to the element of choice using the dice, you can use them more than once and still have a valuable experience through additional practice.
