Are your students struggling with comparing decimal amounts? Use this Christmas themed Decimal Build and Draw Freebie to back up and use Base 10 Blocks to build and draw decimal numbers. Using Base 10 Blocks (The Hundred Flat becomes One Whole, the Ten Rod becomes a Tenth, the One Unit Cube becomes a Hundredth, and a Flat Unit Cube becomes a Thousandth) will help your students to visually see and understand decimal place value.
Building and drawing decimal amounts with Base 10 Blocks will help your students to comprehend that 0.3 is larger than 0.127.
