Hi! I teach 4th & 5th grades, but I’ve only done these escape rooms with 5th graders (there are way too many 4th graders in my room at once, and we are still working on their cooperation skills.....). My students have completed a few different “Escape Rooms” that I have created, and I’ve taken student suggestions into
account when designing the next set.
These Christmas ones have more stations, quicker problems to solve, and more obvious answers. These are more like a scavenger hunt than an actual escape room you may have been to—more solving, less logic.
These two Christmas sets are designed to run simultaneously, but you can also share them one at a time, or use a different set with different groups. I have about 20 5th graders in my room at a time, and I find 2-3 students per group works best. Sometimes I randomly assign groups; sometimes I let them choose their partners.
