Just in time for the holidays--a Christmas figurative language gallery walk! Here's a fun up-and-at-'em activity that helps students review figurative language using examples from Christmas songs, movies, and literature. This product includes 30 quick snippets that ask students to determine which type of figurative language is being used.

*30 full-page task cards in a blackline format (black ink on white paper). Simply print cards onto your favorite colored paper or card stock, or mount on a colorful background. You can also laminate printed cards for years of use!

*Student recording sheet

*Figurative language review sheet (Definitions and examples are given for each of the seven featured types of figurative language.) This serves as a handy guide for those students who still need a little help.

*A second set of the SAME 30 cards with *hints* printed in RED! Perfect for differentiation or to scroll through as you check recording sheets as a class!
