This activity is great for Christmas working on sequencing, reading comprehension/WH questions and following directions.
There is a mini Christmas story with real life pictures I took to accompany the story.
There is a sequencing activity with the pictures for children to sequence the story. You can either read the story to the children or have them read the story on their own.
There are twelve comprehension questions to go along with the story including who, what, where, when, why, and how questions.
Then there is a following directions activity with a sheet set up with two clip arts of presents and a tree already on it. The children need to follow 20 directions to either draw pictures or place the 10 real life pictures in different areas on the paper depending on the linguistic terms used. Terms used include: on top, to the right, to the left, above, between, and below. You can have the children just draw the pictures, or if you have more time they can color their drawings. There are also twelve questions with the following directions (in italics) to expand the lesson and have the students speak and interact with each other.
There is a sample of the completed Christmas following direction activity included.
There is also a parent letter included describing what the students worked on.
The clip art pictures were downloaded from www.mycutegraphics.com.
