Product Updated for 2017!
I added a few more ideas for the exchange
*White Elephant Gift
*Gift Exchange Game
*Staff Gift Exchange
Use these cards to trade, exchange, steal, swap, gifts for a class party or even for a staff party.
There are 54 trade cards, #1-36, 9 blanks. Some of the cards are duplicates to keep players listening during the game. For example "trade with someone who isn't paying attention" or "trade with someone wearing the most red".
There are also freeze cards, keep your gift for a turn, etc.
I hope this game keeps this game engaging and fun for all. The cards are geared towards classroom use and are all kid friendly. (One card says to trade with the most facial hair so you might want to check them all before starting!)
Please be sure that everyone ends up with a book or gift at the end! (books & gifts not included)

Here's how we play...
First, rules are explained and everyone is randomly passed out a gift. In my class you can freeze a gift after the third person has possession of the gift. (Susie starts and trades with Mark. Steve steals from Mark and freezes the gift)
I have my students numbered #1-35 in class. I pull from the bowl of "numbered" cards to see whose turn it is. Then they get to come and draw from the "trade" cards.
After they follow the directions we go back to pulling from the number cards to see who goes next!
At the very end of my book exchange I always ask students to try to think of someone else they could give their book to if they don't like it. I encourage refitting rather than complaining. If all else fails have the few who are unhappy do a ten second swap amounts themselves.
