Christmas Gifts Patterns and Sorting, PK and Kindergarten
Note this product is included in a bundle
Patterning is meaningful organization & categorization of information. According to brain research, the brain feeds on patterns and looks for meaning through patterning. When sense and meaning are established, the brain is ready for more challenges.
Every pattern the brain is able to create means it can then store that new understanding. Intelligence is the ability to see patterns and build relationships from those patterns. (Pam Schiller, )
These center activities give an enormous number of patterning possibilities. Place the cards in baggies, place in a center and watch your children go to town!
Black line masters are included for the children to color and make their own patterns. Several sorting mats are included such as sorting by bows or no bows, pattern paper or no pattern paper. There are endless ways for the children to sort or produce patterns. From simple to complex, children will automatically differentiate their work!
