This festive set for the holidays includes 9 activities, focusing on color matching, patterning, counting, and more.
Christmas Tree Ornament Counting: Count the ornaments on each tree and recognize the number in the top right corner. Small markers such as pom poms or buttons can be placed on top of each ornament for more counting fun.
Snowman Hat Color Matching Cards: Cut apart the cards and match the snowman's hat by color.
Gingerbread Pom Pom Color Matching: Provide an assortment of pom poms to match onto the gingerbread man with that same color.
Pattern Gingerbread Cards and Tiles: Cut the cards apart on page 6 and place on the boxes with the question marks, completing the pattern.
Gingerbread Man Color Sorting: Cut apart each gingerbread man and use for color sorting activities. Can also be used as a color hunt activity! Hide the gingerbread men around the room and invite your children to find them, calling out the color of each gingerbread man as they are found.
Shape Matching Gingerbread Men and Tiles: Separate cards. Look at the shapes on each gingerbread man, find the matching shape card and place it on top.
Gingerbread Count and Clip Cards: Cut out each card and count the gingerbread men. Clip a clothespin to the correct number. You can also use small pieces, such as buttons or pom poms. Simply place them on top of the correct number.
Christmas Tree Play Dough Counting Mats: : If using with playdough, laminate or slide printables into clear sleeves to protect them. Can also be used with small objects such as buttons and pom poms. After identifying the number, count out that many pieces and place them on top of the circles.
Gingerbread Man Props: Use desired amount of numbered gingerbread men while singing gingerbread counting songs. Use plain gingerbread men for stick props. Simply cut apart desired number of plain gingerbread men and tape them to popsicle sticks for the children to hold.
