Description

Christmas - Holiday Prove It To Me is a way to introduce students to using clues the author gives in the text to understand what they are reading and to use these clues as evidence in their writing. The clues in these cards are easy to find and use as evidence since this is an introduction to this skill. These holiday stories contain the words Christmas and Santa; be sure you are allowed to use them in your school before downloading.

Place the Prove It To Me poster in the center or post in your room for students to use as model ways to answer questions. There are more answer frames. These are just a sample. More can be found in My Reader’s Notebook: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/My-Interactive-Readers-Notebook-911842

These cards can be placed into a center or just copied and used as daily work like morning work. You will need to model first how to write a good answer using the answer frames.

Contents:

► 6 story cards

► One Prove It To Me poster with sample answer frames.

► 2 Writing Pages
