MATH ESCAPE ROOM
a CHRISTMAS or HOLIDAY activity
The premise for this escape room is “Xscape Mt Grumpit”
There are 20 questions organized within five tasks/caves.
Students are challenged to answer each set of 4 questions and then use their answers to discover a combination to “unlock a gate” in order to proceed. There are five 'caves.'
PUZZLES and PROBLEMS and so much MATH !
- students will be learning and reviewing and not even realize it !!
The activity includes an online element (optional) which does not require log in - just internet access. Students can use phones, tablets, or computers. They will enter their codes to work their way out of the caves on Mt Grumpit!
There is minimum prep on your part (print / cut and package cards; the kinds of things you do all the time). Most of the work is done by students as they work together to solve problems and puzzles. You can monitor, observe, and help as needed. There are hint cards that students can use if you want to include them.
I don’t know what else to tell you other than this is FUN.
And your kids will love the challenge!
