Teach reading strategies right up until the Christmas break!
This resource contains:
8 short text passages for making inferences + answers
5 matching cards (match the text passage to the present)
Display the text passages on an interactive whiteboard. Demonstrate how to read the passage, thinking aloud your inferences. Highlight the words or phrases that act as evidence of your inferences. Continue making inferences with the text passages as a whole class.
For reinforcement, have students complete the matching activity independently or in pairs.
