Description

Use this easy-to-assemble interactive book to teach your students language concepts, actions, vocabulary in general, and even address answering simple questions.

This book is sure to facilitate expressive language (by tempting children with its characters and simple, but silly, scenarios) and give children many opportunities to follow directions, demonstrate knowledge of concepts, and answer simple wh-questions - especially “where” questions.

Children should use the Santa cutouts to fully interact with the book. Each page prompts the reader or listener to use Santa to carry out actions, follow directions that require concept knowledge, produce dialogue and answer questions. Use as many or as few of the prompts on the page as needed for your particular students’ needs. Adapt as needed according to your students’ goals.

Be sure to DOWNLOAD the preview for a closer look.

The goal is to get children engaged, listening, and responding with words and/or actions. Your modeling can make the book come alive. You can have your own Santa cutout, too! Silliness is always encouraged and brings about great language! If students do not offer verbal responses, model responses for him/her.

If the book is too long, just arrange it into two separate books. With 25 interactive pages, it can easily be split into 2 books and can be used over many therapy sessions. The repetitiveness is useful in driving home the concepts.
