At this time of year, let your students have a little fun and be creative even during their maths lessons!
I love using these snowmen to teach or revise inverse addition with my students. They can also be used as a fun way to assess students knowledge of this topic. Differentiation is provided and the cut and paste aspect lends itself to interactive notebooks. Students begin by matching the correct addition and subtraction sentences on scarves to the various hats worn by their snowmen and then progress to filling in the given fact families and finally devise their own inverse addition families.
A powerpoint setting out instructions on how to use this resource and the relevant teaching points is provided along with sheets to print out.
Please remember to leave feedback if you download. I will always reply :)
