Worksheets in packet:
1) Santa, I Some Questions for You – students pretend they are going to interview Santa. They write question sentences to ask Santa.
2) Blank writing page
3) Sweet Punctuation – Cut and Paste. Students determine whether a sentences should have a question or period and glue the correct punctuation at the end of sentences
4) Naughty or Nice – Cut and Paste. Students cut out groups of words. If the group is a complete sentence, it’s glued on the Nice list, if not, it’s glued on the naughty list.
5) I’m Dreaming of Complete Christmas Sentences – Students circle the subject and underline the predicate of Christmas themed sentences
6) Christmas Contractions – Cut and Paste. Students cut out contraction words and glue them on Christmas trees that have the 2 words that make up the contraction
7) Contraction Practice – Students rewrite sentences using contractions for the 2 words
8) Christmas Parts of Speech – Students read sentences and determine what part of speech underlined words are.
9) Parts of Speech – Students read words on ornaments and determine if they are a noun, verb, or adjective, then color the ornament based on the key.
10) The Stockings were Hung in ABC Order – Students cut of 5 stockings and glue them in abc order
11)Christmas ABC Order – Students put 3 words at a time in abc order.
12)Synonym and Antonym Wrap Up – Students determine if a pair of words are synonyms or antonyms
13) Things I’m Working On/Good Things I’ve Done This Year – These are blank writing pages for students to write things they are trying to improve and good things they’ve done this year. These pages can be “sent” to Santa.
14) 3 pages of "What's the Secret Word" (contractions, antonyms and synonyms)
15)Present sort - Students determine if a picture is a short vowel or long vowel word and color by a color code.
