Includes multiple meaning, categories, idioms and proverbs, compare/contrast, and blank cards to write your own!
Multiple meaning words: Have your students provide two meanings for each word or create sentences using the multiple meanings.
Categories: Students can name at least 3 items or list as many words as they can think of in each category.
Idioms and Proverbs: Have your students explain the meaning of each expression or use the idiom or proverb in a sentence.
Synonyms: Have your students state at least one synonym for each word.
Compare & Contrast: Have your students state two similarities and two differences for the items on each card.
Divide the cards into separate stacks. Assign each stack a number 1-5. Have your students roll a dice and choose a card from the stack corresponding to the number they roll. If they roll a 6, they lose a turn. The student with the most cards at the end of the game wins!
