Are you looking for engaging Christmas language activities for your preschool caseload that will help you save time, stress less, and maintain your sanity? Let me help you get through those crazy weeks leading up to winter break with these low to no prep Christmas activities-- Spend those precious free moments getting your progress reports done instead of prepping your therapy materials!
Here are the goodies you’ll get with this download:
•Instructions on each page
so parents understand the language targets you were working on when the activity comes home, AND so that you can send pages for home practice without spending additional time writing notes about what to do with that sheet or what to work on, because #aintnobodygottimeforthat
•4 “Christmas Tree Category” pages
: sort the Christmas lights to the correct trees; 8 categories total. This activity works great in a group! Students can each pick lights and work together to figure out which tree to glue it on.
•5 “Dot the Category” pages
: Name the items in each gift box. If it matches the category at the bottom of the page, stamp it!
•3 “Dot and Dash” category pages:
Name 3 items per category in the Christmas tree. To use as a quick group activity, have each student name 1 item in the category, stamp, and pass it around.
•3 Object Function pages
(Christmas cookie and ornament coloring pages, dot marker ornament page)
•1 Verb+Noun Christmas vocabulary mini book
(3 printing pages total; 12 mini booklet pages)
•3 Pronoun Pages
(1 roll and cover mixed Christmas page, 1 "spin and color" elf action page, 1 "say and color" Santa action page)
•3 WH-question pages (dot the answer/color the answer)
•3 open-ended dot marker pages
to use with any goal
•4 Cut, color, and glue “go together” pages
to target associations— match presents to Santa bag
If you are feeling overwhelmed
with a growing list of referrals, IEPs, and progress reports, I hear you.
I created these materials because I want to make your life EASIER
by helping you have fun activities likes these that you can print off and use in a pinch, because let’s be real… sometimes (often??) our therapy sessions are planned about 5 minutes in advance (#realtalk), or we just don't have the time to prep because of paperwork or other commitments.
Similar activities are used throughout many language target pages in this set, so your students in mixed groups (aka your whole caseload, #amiright) can be doing the same types of activities while working on different targets.
For example, your articulation students may be stamping an open-ended dot marker page practicing their targets, while another student is stamping WH questions, and another is stamping object functions. One student may be coloring their verb book, while another may be coloring a pronoun page. With these materials, you'll be able to just keep hitting "print" and going off to therapy, all December long!
