Easy to prepare- Color and Black Line Options

Letter Word Sentence Sorting Cards- Color or Black Line Options-
Use these cards when teaching small groups. Cards can also be used as an assessment. Copy cards on card stock and cut. Children can sort cards by letters, words, and sentences. These are great for children who struggle with organization and for children that need a “hands on” assessment. There are 60 cards in this set including 6 cards with punctuation marks (period, question mark, exclamation point, comma, apostrophe, and quotation marks). If smaller sets of cards are needed, sort by picture on the cards. There are 10 cards with each picture.

Cards may also be used in a Pocket Chart Center or during whole group instruction too. Headers (Letter, Word, Sentence, Punctuation Mark) are provided for pocket chart.

Prefer small sized cards? When printing, choose Properties. Then choose Features. Near bottom right, select 2 pages per sheet .

Cut, Sort, and Paste- Black Line Only
Children cut out the boxes. Sort into three groups- letter, word, and sentence. Then glue into the correct section. This can be used in a center, independent work, or for an assessment. You may want to copy the page with the boxes on a bright colored paper. There are two sets of boxes on each page. You only need to copy one sheet for every 2 students.
