LIght up your students' reading plans for the winter break or celebrate great December books with this Christmas LIghts book review project. Students will complete the information on each page, cut it out, embellish the cover, and string the pages together to create a flapbook project. Have each student share a book talk about his/her book and have the audience (classroom peers) record the books they'd enjoy reading on their planning page.
This is a simple project that will make a big impact on reading motivation as you approach the winter break. Perfect for the week before the holiday break or send home as an optional project for extra credit.
PS: Print on blue paper for "Winter Lights" if you need to avoid Christmas decorations.
