Students will solve 16 Two-Step Equations quadratic equations to create a collaborative Christmas themed mural. There are 20 different coloring sections of the mural to distribute amongst all the students in the class. The sections are color coded based on the solutions to the equations. Students can work independently or in collaborative pairs. Upon completion, the 20 sections will be assembled to create the full mural, perfect for hanging on the wall as classroom décor!

(An optional page is included for students who prefer to complete the entire mystery picture on their own in a smaller single page scale.)

Increases Student Engagement! Students will be engaged by their curiosity of the "mystery mural" and will want to finish all 12 problems.

Encourages Self-Checking! Students will be more likely to check their work with others and/or ask for help using this activity because their section of the mural is necessary for completion of the full collaborative wall mural.
