With these two Christmas Math Games your students can practice number recognition, reading number words, addition double facts to 10+10, number pairs that equal 5 and 10 and even and odd to 100. Your students will love trying to find out who will be giving Santa the most cookies and who will be guiding Santa's sleigh this year!
There's a New Reindeer in Town Game.
-number cards to 100
Players decide who is the even reindeer and who is the odd reindeer.
Player 1 chooses a card and decides if the number is odd or even.
For example, player 1 is the odd reindeer and player 2 is the even reindeer. Player 1 chooses the number 5. 5 is odd so player 1 (because they are the odd reindeer) puts Rudolf’s nose (the pom-pom) on their reindeer.
Player 2s turn.
Let’s say player 2 draws a 17. 17 is odd so the pom-pom would stay on player 1s reindeer.
Next, let’s say player 1 draws 18. 18 is even so player 2 would take Rudolf’s nose from player 1 and put it on their reindeer because player 2 is the even reindeer.
Play continues until all cards are drawn. The player that ends up with Rudolf’s nose on their reindeer wins!
