Your kiddos will LOVE measuring Santa's Workshop! A great activity to use in math stations during the Holiday Season!
This packet contains the following:
1. Measuring with Gifts (non-standard): Students measure each other using gifts. Simply print out the gifts, tape them to a wall. Students measure each other and complete the record sheet. My students love to see how tall they are!!
2. Measuring Santa's Workshop- Students measure objects that can be found in Santa's Workshop using standard or non-standard measurement. This activity can be used as a Measure Around the Room Activity - place the cards around the classroom. Students find each card, measure and record. OR place the cards in a Sensory tub. This is one of my students' favorite stations! I simple place the cards in a Rubbermaid box filled with shredded paper, rice, beans, etc. During Christmas, I fill the box with old bows! They LOVE it! Students find a card, measure and record. OR place the cards in a small group station. Students choose a card, measure and record.
3. Christmas Measuring - Students measure objects on the picture cards using the Christmas Light Ruler (included). Color the ruler on the recording page to show how long/tall each object is.
