Thank you for your interest in the Christmas "How Much Is That Word Worth?'' Money Addition Task Cards. This set of 24 task cards is a fun and engaging way to enforce that your students are proficient in adding several whole dollar amounts.
Included in this packet you will find:
- 24 Task Cards
- Letter Value Sheet (prints 2 to a page)
- Answer Sheet
- Answer Key
- Scoot Game Instructions
On each task card is a word related to the Christmas, such as wreath. Students will use their letter value sheet to determine the monetary value of each letter and add those values together to determine what the word is worth.
My favorite way to implement task cards is to play Scoot. This game gets the students up and moving, which helps to break up the monotony of sitting at the same desk throughout the day. In case you aren't familiar with this game, I have included an instruction sheet. It can be used with any set of task cards you have!
This is also a great resource for homeschool students as well. I like to place the cards all around my home and my daughter will scoot to each one in a similar manner as in a classroom setting.
Of course, that isn't the only way these task cards can be used.
They also work well in math centers, as a task for early finishers,
and as extra engaging work for your eager learners.
For resources that are not consumable, such as the task cards and letter value sheets, I do recommend printing on cardstock and laminating so that you can use them over and over again.
Thank you again for your purchase. I hope you enjoy the Christmas "How Much Is That Word Worth?'' Money Addition Task Cards as much as I do.
