The Christmas Multiples Tree Craftivity is a fun and creative way for students to show their knowledge of multiplication facts and multiples. With this craftivity, students are asked to assemble a Christmas tree where the star at the top is the multiplier that they are exploring and the baubles are the multiplicands up to the multiplier (i.e., x 12).
Printing and Materials Needed:
The following materials are needed to complete the craftivity:
The star templates and the baubles are organized to minimize the amount of printing that needs to be done. Each student should receive 1 tree template, 1 star and 1 strip of 12 baubles. I recommend printing the templates on white paper so that students have the opportunity to make their Christmas Multiples Tree unique.
Steps to Assemble the Craftivity:
The craftivity can be assembled in 4 steps.
A student sample of the tree is included - keep in mind that students can choose a number that makes sense to them and that they are familiar with. Students who need a challenge can choose a higher number to work with as the multiplier.
