I made this for my students so they could have a fun way to practice identifying words as common nouns, proper nouns, verbs, or adjectives. The words are Christmas themed. This can be done by students individually, in pairs, or in teams. It originated as a cut-and-paste activity, but you can have them write in answers instead to save time. This download includes:
- Student word charts (one blank for writing in or pasting answers and one with themed words mixed up for sorting)
- Answer key
- Teacher notes with directions and suggestions for extension activities for those fast finishers
- Center Cards Instructions (color and black line versions) included as an alternative to whole-class activity.
