Here's a fun way to practice place value concepts.
Students will identify various values using base ten blocks.
Print out the cards and board. Cut the cards apart. If you laminate, they can use dry erase markers to join or separate sets to solve equations.
Students take turns solving equations and cover their answer (sum/difference). There's only one answer per card, no duplicates, so this game is more of a cover -up game. Students can also record their equation and answer as they work/play the game.
Cards could also be placed in a math center, write the room, or a SCOOT game. Versatile!
