How to use as a file folder game:
Teachers: Laminate each of the beginning sound trees. Then, glue each tree on one side of the file folder. Cut and laminate each of the presents and store in an envelope on the back of the file folder.
Students: Place each present under the tree that has the same beginning sound.
How to use as a movement game:
Laminate each of the beginning sound trees. Tape one tree somewhere in the front of the room and the other tree in the back of the room. Laminate and cut out each present. Place a piece of looped tape on the back of each one. Give each student a present (you may have to make multiple of each present depending on your class size). Play Christmas music as your students walk or dance around the room. When you pause the music all the students will walk to stand under the tree that begins with the same initial sound. Switch the presents around and play again.
