Description

***Distance Learning Compatible***

Christmas is a special time of year for both teachers and students! What a better way to celebrate the holiday season than with a festive CHRISTMAS STEM ACTIVITY?

What does the challenge consist of?

Step 1: Your students will be presented with a dilemma: Ginny Gingerbread has to get to the 5th Annual Gingerbread Cookie Bake-Off with her ingredients, but the bridge that connects Gumdrop Avenue to Candy Crystal Lane has collapsed!

Step 2: Issue supplies to your students and present the challenge to students (build a bridge using only the supplies provided)

Step 3: Allow the students to collaborate and brainstorm, completing the included “planning guide” worksheet.

Step 4: Set the timer and watch your kids Go! Students will reconstruct the broken bridge in an attempt to help Ginny Gingerbread make it to the cookie bake off competition!

Step 5: Students will test the strength of their creation to determine if they were successful in the challenge!
