You and your students will love this engaging math game! Shake and Spill is a game that students play when learning how to compose and decompose numbers. I use this game in math stations throughout the year! My kids love it and it's Easy to Prep! You simply need a work mat, recording sheet, cup and counters. I have provided work mats in color and black and white.
Students place counters in a cup, shake the cup, pour out the counters on the mat. Students record the number of counters on and off the mat to complete the equation.
In this packet you receive
~ 5 different shake and spill mats - each in color and black and white PLUS recording sheets to match each mat. There are 2 different recording sheets for each mat to allow for differentiation! One recording sheet has a predetermined number. Students look at the number, put that many counters in a cup. The other sheet, does not have a predetermined number.
