Print the snowmen body parts on white card stock and choose 10 sight words that have already been taught. Have students write one sight word on each body part. Then have students color their snowmen parts.
Choose sight words that could be used in sentences to describe their snowmen. For example, my class used the following sight words; for, have, and, my, is, little, are, with, a, I, like, etc.
My students came up with the following sentences using those sight words; I LIKE MY snowman. He has a carrot FOR a nose. He has LITTLE arms. MY snowman is cute. He has A hat. He has a hat AND buttons.
