Description

Kids love songs, especially holiday songs! Work on fluency with short phrases from these well-known songs: ❆ Jingle Bells ❆ Up on the Housetop ❆ We Wish You a Merry Christmas ❆ Oh Christmas Tree

Day 1: Have students practice reading the card phrases for one of the songs. The goal is to read each card within 3 seconds.

Day 2: Print the roll and read page for the song practiced from day 1. Students read the words along the side first, then roll and read the phrases.

Day 3: Close read with the text. Students will need a pencil and colors (crayons, markers) to answer questions and illustrate the lyrics to demonstrate comprehension.
