Review the verbs SER, ESTAR, and TENER while taking full advantage of the holiday season.
In this holiday bundle you get:
1. A fill-in-the blank worksheet that contains 18 sentences for student practice. Students are tasked with (a) reading each sentence, (b) deciding whether "ser" or "estar" is the appropriate verb based on context, and (c) writing in the correct, present tense form of the chosen verbs.
There are also built-in teachable moments when the teacher can review situations where either "ser" or "estar" can be used based on the speaker's desired meaning. (Ex.) "Josue es alto." and "Maria-José está alta en esos zapatos."
2. You also get a 20-question, fill-in-the blank worksheet for "Tener". For added instructional value, several of the sentences use idiomatic expressions like: "tener prisa", "tener razón", etc.
3. For younger classes the cover page can be colored as a brain-break or differentiation activity.
4. Lastly, there is a word search activity that contains several key holiday words in Spanish. (nieve, árbol de navidad, celebración, etc.)
The worksheets and activities in this bundle will be useful additions to your current unit materials whether you are teaching the verbs for the first time now or whether you would just like to review. They are also great for inclusion in your substitute teacher plans.
Although the answer keys are for present tense usage, for advance students or upper levels, teacher may easily modify the instructions and have students answer in the past tense, if desired.
