In this fun Christmas bias activity students read three articles from the 'Northern News'. Each article has been written by a different elf (reporter Brian Bell, factory worker Pete Mint, and chocolate artist Chuck O'Latte), and has a different perspective on the contentious news of whether the Christmas Preparation Factory should make more peppermints or chocolates this year. Students become Bias Detectives to determine the facts and opinions in each article, and the perspective and potential bias of each author. Two extension activities are included.
