2 mini books (informational readers) to teach your primary students about Christmas traditions in the United States and Traditions Around the World. The first book is titled Christmas Traditions and talks about how we celebrate Christmas (decorate trees, give presents, bake cookies, gather with family.) There are 7 pages (including the cover page). The last page asks students to draw/write about one of their traditions. It comes in color and black and white. The second book is titled Christmas Around the World. It is a cut and paste book. Students will read a sentence about a Christmas tradition in another country and then cut and paste a picture onto each page. There are two cut and paste worksheets: sequencing worksheet (how to decorate a Christmas tree) and cut out simple sentences and match it to the winter picture.
Please download it before buying so you know exactly what is included. Not every page is included but most pages are.
To assemble the mini books just copy and cut apart. These would work well for guided reading, small groups, literacy centers or whole group.
