This craftivity is a fun way to have your students practice fact families during the holiday season. Each student will be able create a Christmas tree that includes a multiplication and division fact family displayed on the tree. The numbers in the fact family will be displayed on the star, and the students will write the corresponding number sentences on the ornaments. The lesson is set up in a way that no child will complete the same fact family, and the stars are differentiated by ability level. You may choose to have students color the tree and ornaments template, or you can use the templates to have them cut out the tree and ornaments on construction paper or cardstock.
