These printable Christmas Tree Math Mats and Printables for Marble Magnets are an easy way to create a fun and valuable Math/Activity Mat with very little work.
This set contains the files for three math mats sized for metal cookie sheets and the printables for 165 small marble magnets and 72 large!
Making the Mats:
To make the mat, all you need are the printables and some inexpensive metal cookie sheets (I get mine at the Dollar Store). Print out the mats onto regular-weight ledger-sized paper. Trim off white edge from the paper and laminate if desired. Attach the mats to the cookie sheets. (I like to use double-sided tape.)
Print out the paper with the circles. I like to print them on glossy cardstock. You will need to use a printer that uses heat - ink from a regular home printer will run when it gets wet with glue. The smaller size circles on the page are the perfect size for 3/4” flat marbles. The larger circles are the perfect size for 1 7/8” marbles.
Glue the papers to the bottom of the marbles. You can use a paper punch to punch out the appropriate size circle first, if you want. Or you can glue the marbles to the sheet of paper, let them dry, and cut around the marble later.
Once the glue is dry, you can attach magnets to the bottom of each marble and you’re set!
