Students read and answer questions about the history of the Christmas tree.
Students learn about seven different tree species used as Christmas trees. Those celebrating Christmas choose their top two Christmas trees and why. Students not celebrating Christmas can choose to write about how their special holiday incorporates plants (or animals).
Students consider brief information comparing real trees to artificial trees and write a small excerpt on what they prefer and why.
Students construct a pie chart depicting Christmas Tree Sales in 2011.
