Christmas Tree Ten Frames Math Center FREEBIE

This FREE number sense resource provides an inviting math center for learners to practice using ten frames to determine quantities to 20. This packet has one Ten Frame Clip Card activity. There are 21 clothespin clip cards for the activity. You may use all 21 clip cards or select the range you want to address for a specific lesson. There are ten frames with Christmas tree pictures and a choice of three numerals printed on each clothespin clip card. Learners use the ten frames to determine the number of Christmas tree pictures in the set and clip a clothespin to the numeral that corresponds with the quantity represented by the ten frame.

Print, laminate, and cut out the clothespin clip cards. You will need 21 clothespins for this activity if you use all the cards for quantities of 0-20.

Learners use the ten frames to determine the quantity of Christmas trees and clip a clothespin on the correct numeral or they can use dry erase markers to circle the correct numeral. You may opt to make these cards self-checking by writing the answer on the back or marking a dot on the back at the correct spot.

This activity helps learners develop numeracy and supports the Math Common Core Standards for Counting and Cardinality.
